Re: Combining Orbi RBK23 and R6220 to access external USB Drive

I had a Netgear R6220 router with a USB Storage connected.
Now, I have bought and installed the Orbi RBK23 and placed the R6220 in AP Mode, so I can still use it as a common Switch to support cabled devices all over the house.
However, the USB Storage is still connected to the R6220, but I cannot find a way to connect to the USB Storage.
What I cannot find anywhere is if the R6220 in AP Mode still supports the USB Storage? If so, how can I connect my laptop, which is on the ORBI network, to the USB storage connected to the R6220?
Hope someone can help me with this.
Thanks!

"cannot" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

I don't see why it wouldn't. But the R6220-as-wireless-access-point
would normally have a non-default (LAN) IP address. Assuming that the
R6220-as-WAP is using DHCP to get its new (LAN) IP address, you might
want to A) reserve a particular address for it on (the DHCP server on)
your main router, and B) use that address to access the storage server.

Re: Combining Orbi RBK23 and R6220 to access external USB Drive
Apologies for leaving out any problem description. I knew I was forgetting something and was looking for a hint.
Turns out that your second comment shed some light on my issue. I could not see the R6220 on the Orbi Router as a Connected Device, because I forgot to change the LAN IP Address of the R6220. It was on a different network. After changing the IP to an IP in the Orbi network, I was able to see the R6220 on the Orbi Network as a Connected Device and was also able to connect to the USB Storage.
Many thanks!
