Connect request fails, can't see router

I'm trying to fix the router after yet another firmware corruption. I know what to do but when I try to put the file to the router I get a "Timeout error, request connect failed.: I can't see the router on IPCONFIG. I've reset the router, tried different lan ports and cords, done everything I know to do. The power light just keeps blinking green. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: Connect request fails, can't see router

If router is no longer reachable via Ping then router is no longer communicating. TFTP will not work with this.

Is this fixable or is the router done for? Is there a way around it?

Re: Connect request fails, can't see router

Try setting a static IP on your computer in range with the router.

Ex.
IP: 192.168.1.2
SM: 255.255.225.0
DG: 192.168.1.1

If you are done setting a static IP then try pinging the router. It gives valid replies then proceed to TFTP:

Reinstall the firmware on a router without the setup CD recovery tool:

If it is still unreachable then it's dead.
