DGN1000 and Sky Anytime+ fails
Hi,
on 20th March 2012, Sky opened up their Anytime+ service to users of other broadband providers other than Sky. I have spent 2 days trying to understand why it didnt work for me, until I found out that the DGN1000 is incompatable with the Anytime+ service.
I have a Sky+ HD box, Anytime+ is enabled, IP address recieved, but it comes up with SERVICE CONNECTION FAIL.
I replaced it with my older DG834 (the same router that Netgear make for Sky), and it works fine.
I have loaded the latest firmware 1.00.41 and still no success.
Why does the old one work and the new one not work ?
Can Netgear produce a firmware to fix the issue, or is it chipset related ? Will I have to buy a new router ??

Found answer on helpforum. This worked immediately for me. (An alternative was to update your firmware on router but mine already up to date). Michael769 posted:

Just for the visiblity of folks using the Netgear DGN1000 on ISPs other than Orange who are experencing trouble getting anytime+ to work.
Anytime+ does not work correctly with the default setup on the DGN1000 - fortunately the solution is simple.
1. Go into your routers setup (point your browser at 192.168.0.1).
2. Go to the ADSL Settings Section.
3. Change Multiplexing Method to "LLC-BASED"
4. Hit apply.
Your Anytime connection should now work OK. You should not need to restart the router.

Beat me to it ! I too found the same solution and it worked. Interestingly the older 834 router worked fine using VC-Based multiplex, but this DGN1000 needs the LLC-based multiplex.
