Failed firmware update D6400
Hello,
Any advise with failed firmware update.
Current firmware version is 1.0.0.102.
Download version 1.0.0.104 and selected the .chk file via the admin menu and after a
few seconds, I got an error message stating wrong file for router.
How can it be the wrong file, as I download it from the Netgear support page for the D6400?
Any ideas what I can do to update to version 104?

If you really have a D6400, and you're really trying to load it with
"D6400-V1.0.0.104_1.0.104.chk", and it complains, then it would appear
that either the firmware image file is bad, or else the current firmware
is corrupt enough that it can't tell right from wrong.
I'd try again with some different firmware version (such as what it
already has). When that fails similarly, you might want to explore
using the TFTP recovery scheme to cram a firmware image down its throat.
See, for example:

No bets on whether that'll actually work.
