Frequency on DGN2200
We have the N300 Wireless ADSL+ Modem Router model DGN2200. We are trying to connect an alarm system to it but we are unable to. The alarm system provider suggested that we find out the frequency at ...

Not a very detailed description of anything.

"unable" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.

Yes. Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the (DGN2200) Product Data Sheet. Look
for "GHz". While you're there, a User Manual might be useful, too.
Without some actual information, it's tough to say what your problem
might be, but "2.4GHz" is not it. Can you get any other wireless device
to connect to the DGN2200[vX]?

Hardware version ("v1", "v2", ... suffix on the model number)?ANSWER: Our model does not have any v1 or v3 attached to it. So I presume it is an original version, before v1 and v3 came about (or it is a v1).

interpretations.ANSWER: I can connect to the Pyronix alarm system network with my iPhone. I can also connect to the router with my iPhone. Using my iPhone I am then trying to establish a connection between the alarm system and the router. The alarm system is supposed to connect to the router, via the iPhone. I can get through the screens asking for relevant SSIDs and passwords (all ok). The problem arises when the alarm (via the iPhone) is trying to establish a connection with the router. The iPhone screen shows a connection image blinking, and it just hangs.

for "GHz". While you're there, a User Manual might be useful, too.ANSWER: The frequency of the router is indeed 2.4GHz and we are currently using Channel 11. Switching to another channel (Channel 9) did not remedy the problem.

to connect to the DGN2200[vX]?ANSWER: As for connecting to the router with other devices, the answer is yes for all phones and computers that we have tried. However, we could not connect a recently-purchased kitchen appliance to our router, and gave up on that.

They seem to make more than one model.
