I lost 5G compoment with Router AC1750 Dual Band Gigabit (R6300v2)

When I initially installed this dual-band router I had both networks available: 2.4G and 5 G. Now there is only one. 5G is gone. What could be the reason and/or the remedy?

Is it turned on?

Is it broadcasting the SSID?

Can the devices you are trying to connect work with 5G?

Read about that stuff in the manual:

R6300v2 | Product | Support | NETGEAR

This could the range issue. My android sees 5G. My desktop, that used to have a medium strength signal doesnt see it at all any amore. I have noticed that with temperature and humidity fluctuating the range of my Wi-Fi changes too. Blootooth devices are affected in particular. I'll keep an eye on it. And thanks so much for being there to help out. Michael

5G may be faster than 2.4 GHz, but it certainly has a shorter range.

Guess that's why most wifi devices come with both. Removing 2.4 would be suicide.
