Installation Issue with WNDR3400

Installing new N600, WNDR3400 Wireless Router through Speedstream 6520 Modem. Connected to Internet with no problem. Installation prompt asked to "Check for Firmware Update". Process started fine and about midway through update got message "Firmware Corrupted". Per instructions, used Resource CD to restore Firmware. Router would not recover and Power LED is still in "Slow Flash" Mode.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Don't know if there is anything else I can do, or did I just get a bad Router and need to take it back to Walmart for another one.

Re: Installation Issue with WNDR3400

I have an issue with seeing a lower signal for the 5ghz. I see a stronger signal on my 2.4ghz. I'm using a new macbook pro. Can somebody help me?

Re: Installation Issue with WNDR3400

5ghas Hals LESS range at same distance what 2.4GHZ

This is nature of how both band works. Nothing to do with router itself

Suggest to use 2.4Ghz/300mbps in the router's setting
