Multiple service filtering schemes

Model N900
Hardware Version WNDR4500
Firmware Version V1.0.1.36_1.0.63
GUI Language Version V1.0.1.36_2.1.17.1

Is it possible to have different service filtering schemes?

The Block Services interface in Advanced|Security shows three radio buttons:

Please tell me I can do this and if so how!

I don't see how given the UI but I'm hopeful. I was able to do this with a very inexpensive Linksys a few years back...

    Thanks

Re: Multiple service filtering schemes

What you see is what you get so simply as it gets.

If you can not setup in GUI means you simply can not. That also means you need to look different avenue or continue to own and request support for future enhancement

Use portal to request . my.netgear.com

Re: Multiple service filtering schemes

Thanks for responding. That's what I feared, but it seemed like such a huge oversight that I figured I must be missing something. It's ridiculous to expect that a single scheme is sufficient for managing multiple devices!

Funny how such a seemingly trivial software omission is so important. The alternative to posting a feature request is to find a competitor that already offers it. I'm in the market for another router to extend the range. I'll look for one that supports my requirement out of the box, like Linksys.

Pretty disappointing, but I really do appreciate your swift response. Thanks!

Re: Multiple service filtering schemes

Every manufacture has different vision, perspective and goals for customer they target .

Netgear consumer devices is to me GUI is made to be simpler and less complicated etc while they like to make their business class prosafe/prosecure models to be more configurable devices

It's not about manufacture and more about finding the in fits you the best in the feature you need.

I'm not fan of linksys but I know they offer a slightly better feature but not GUi base like Netgear Genie application
