My N600 WNDR3400 is already registered

I am the original owner with everything down to the reciept. I registered it originally back in 2011 and now cannot connect to the device or re-register it. I have all the passwords yet cannot access my product that i paid for. I reset it to its factory settings and still cannot do anything. When I'm signed into my profile my router isn't showing up as a registered product yet it tells me its registered.

After resetting to factory defaults what happens? You should connect a computer to the router via an Ethernet cable and log in at http://routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1, don’t connect the router to the modem yet. If you successfully factory reset then you should be prompted for the username (admin) and password (password), does that happen?
