My PSP cannot connect to WLAN

Hello,

My PSP cannot connect to WLAN, because when I'm trying to connect, it shows me an error:
A connection error has occured. A connection to the access point could not be estabilished. Check the security settings fot the network and try again.
My router is WNR1000v2. I tried to connect without any security and with WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]. Error shows again and again.

Re: My PSP cannot connect to WLAN

Questions is PSP worked with same setting or you are adding as new to the network?

Suggestion is also try different wireless mode and wireless encryption combination

For example , PSP-3000
http://us.playstation.com/psp/techspecs/3000cp.html

supports Wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11b) (Wi-Fi) which means wireless mode using higher than 54Mbps may not going work ..

I tried connect using WEP and 54Mb/s mode but it shows me an error, other than previous:
A connection error has occured. The connection to the access point timed out.

You start off unit with unit you don't know.

If you can not use setup using 54Mbps then you may possible got wifi.

Have you tried other wifi at like your friends place to determine that you go defective PSP on wifi?

Yes, I checked wifi in my school and wifi tethering shared by my smartphone and it works fine.

Re: My PSP cannot connect to WLAN

I can only that if works on other wifi and tethering and tried WEP/54Mbps already then I think you got compatible problems.

You options are to find 802.11G Access point install behind the your WNR1000 so that you have support for legacy devices
