NETGEAR WNDR3400 Router
I have a dell dimension 8300 computer running windows 10. With a netgear wndr3400 router. I recently upgraded my internet speed from 100mb to 200 but am only getting 100speed. If I connect the computer directly to my modem with the ethernet cable I get the 200mb speed. I wonder if my router is the problem or the broadcom netlink (tm ) gigabit ethernet adapter in my computer. The adapter is set on auto but it looks like the most it allows is 100mb. I would appreciate any help

That would seem to clear the computer (and its Ethernet interface) of
blame.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the Reference Manual. Read. Look for
"Technical Specifications" and "Interface Specifications". If the
Ethernet interfaces on your router are 10/100Mb/s, then you'll need a
newer/better router to get speeds higher than that.

"auto" means that the interfaces negotiate a best speed between
themselves. If one end is limited to 100Mb/s, then that's the best
speed you'll get.
(Note: "m" = "milli" = 1/1000. "M" = "mega" = 1000000.)
