Netgear 7550 wont keep internet connection

I have Frontier, router is a Netgear model 7550 it keeps dropping the internet MANY times a day, so many times back to back there is no use in even using the internet. Will do this every 3-10min. The DSL light will start blinking an then the internet light goes out an I lose connection. Sometimes the internet red lights, sometimes the router completely reboots itself.
I have spoken to customer support several times an done several tests, issue remains the same. Have cut the unit on an off, done a hard reset, power-cycle reboot, changed outlets, checked cables, speed test is good. They just keep telling me to do a power cycle reboot..it does not help the issue. If anything its getting worse. Help

   Sounds to me like a problem with the DSL-modem section of the 7550,
the equipment at the ISP, or the wire in between.

   Not much meat on that bone.

 

   I doubt that there's much anyone here can suggest, other than moving
or swapping equipment to try to identify the weak link.  Or continuing
to complain to the ISP (especially if the ISP provided the 7550).
