Netgear WNDR3600 anyway to disable WPS

Sometimes with my laptop or a new device I am asked to go upstairs to my router and press the WPS button otherwise the new device may not connect.

Anyway to disable doing this? Not a big deal but thought I would ask.

Thanks

Correction it is a 3700 Netgear model

I have been using WPA2-PSK

It is just a nit, I Can press the button.

Just wondered if there was a way to disable it.

If you are using WPA2 then there is no reason to press button on router.Smiley Happy

From a brief look at the PDF manual, it doesn't appear to have a way that you can disable the WPS feature.

If it is a serious concern, or you need more clarification, or you need a definite answer to your query, I would suggest you open a case by logging in to my.netgear.com.

Re: Netgear WNDR3600 anyway to disable WPS

if you are able to disable WPS you will see same or not

http://interface.netgear-forum.com/WNR3500/

"Advanced"- Wireless settings. you will see WPS settings, disable router's PIN

if you do not see this option then answer is NO.. you can not disable it.

possible telnet and do more advance tweaking
