Netgear access point issues
We recently just purchased a Netgear wireless access point to try and beef up the signal we have in our small condo. When it was finished being set up the speeds we were seeing through it are abysmal and now for some reason one of our desktops thinks it's still connected to it even though it's not. I even have it unplugged from the wall so it has no power.

What router is it connected to? Firmware on it?
What modem are you using?
How big is your condo?
What is your condo's internal walls made of?
Is it multi-level?
You can go to netgear.com/support/ and type in your model number. it'll have firmware, manuals, troubleshooting.
