Port Forwarding Issues

I am trying to run a Minecraft server off my PC, but Ive found Port Forwarding to be a pain, (I check if my port is open or not here) Ive set up a static ip, and am sure my ip is correct.

I'm not sure what the issue is, if its worth anything, the router I'm connected to is connected to an Xfinity modem, I found elsewhere that it might help to port forward my router on the Xfinity website, but the router isnt even showing up in connected devices.

Help would be appreciated.

Re: Port Forwarding Issues

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for General Router products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with older routers and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/General-WiFi-Routers-Non/bd-p/home-wifi-routers-general

Please give brand and model# of the ISP modem there as well.

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Thank you

Rather than heading off on a wild goose chase that will only slow down your quest – this is as as good a place as any for your question – did you try this?

Search - NETGEAR Communities – Minecraft server

Looks promising.
