Problem setting up WNR2000 as repeater

I'm trying to set up a WNR2000 as a repeater, against a base router of WNR834Bv2. It actually looked like it was working for maybe 10 seconds, but then stopped. I tried going back into the configuration, but couldn't get a response from the IP address I had assigned (192.168.1.20) or the default 192.168.1.1 I used the button to reset factory defaults, but still can't connect with 192.168.1.1

I also tried a restore function from the installation CD, but that would not run to completion, giving me a message that the firmware wasn't corrupted so it wasn't going to continue. Is there another way to connect to the router, or is there a different default IP address?

you have WNR2000V2 with latest firmware?

I do have the latest firmware, and had the new options for repeating adapter, or at least I did when I was able to connect to it 😞

make sure hard reset after the firmware upgrade.. it is MUST

Hey there how's it going? I have a Netgear N 300 Wireless Router WNR 2000v3. It has the repeater fuction under Advanced Setting. My problem is that I can't seem to get the repeater fuction to work. I know and have access to the base router info. Any one can help wit this please.:confused::confused:
