R6120 Does not support Bonjour Multicast traffic when 2.4 GHz and 5GHz SSID name are differents
Hi,
Related to this post, but I can't fin a way to reply on it : https://community.netgear.com/t5/General-WiFi-Routers-Non/After-switch-upgrade-Bonjour-no-longer-wor...
But my printer is WiFi only : the ethernet cable solution isn't helpful for me
I use a Brother 2340D which uses Bonjour for being discovered from Apple devices. It works well with my old Access point, but not with my new R6120 device in bridge/access point mode.
I finaly discover that the Bonjour Multicast is 90% dropped when the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz SSID name are differents.
Even if your devices are on the same WiFi, for exemple 2.4GHz, no Bonjour traffic.
When I configured the same SSID name, on both WiFi SSID on the R6120 : everything goes well.
Hope this post can help some.
