Hi,
I would like to connect my Netgear R6220 to my digital mixing console wich has a fixed IP address, 127.0.0.1
When I try to change the routers IP address to 127.0.0.x i get a message saying invalid IP address. I have tried 126.0.0.x and 128.0.0.x with no problems.
I have earlier used this router with my digital light console without problems.
I then changed the router IP to 212.x.x.x
Why doesn´t 127.0.0.x work?
Firmware 1.1.0.50

Not really.

127.0.0.1 is a special "loopback" address, which can be used when you
want to talk to yourself (without knowing what your real IP address is).
The whole 127.*.*.* subnet is unavailable for normal use.

Your (unspecified) "my digital mixing console" must have some normal
IP address (other than 127.*.*.*). Knowing nothing, I'd guess that it
would use DHCP to get one from the router where it's connected, in which
case you wouldn't care what the router uses for its own IP address range
(subnet).
