Re: R6300 & Netgear Genie

I am having the same problem also. I tried to login to the router settings and I got login failed. I went to routerlogin.net and got 404 error. Tried to send Netgear a support e-mail and their e-mail is down. Not sure if company is in business anymore.

Try using http://192.168.1.1/start.htm to get into the routers interface and disable the desktop genie through the control panel services and also in msconfig. IMO the desktop genie causes more problems than its worth.

Tried using that. It asked for name and password. I assume that it is (default) admin...password. Came up with 404 error. Any advice.

Re: R6300 & Netgear Genie

Do a factory reset. (push and hold the button in the back)
Then unplug and let it set for 2 min.
Then plug it back in.
