R6300v2 Router not passing ISP speed from ISP Modem
I recently increased my internet speeds from 100/10mbps to 400/20mbps; I was provided a new modem from Spectrum - a Hitron EN2251.
Ended up getting a tech to come to house to check connections - 400x speeds are coming through the coaxial and at modem, however once it goes to the R6300v2, speeds is less than 200mbps. I did some testing based on other people's experiences.
Factory Reset the R6300v2, turned off traffic monitoring, verified that QOS is disabled, etc.
I also turned the WIFI settings to max mode - 2.4GHz up to 450mbps and 5GHz up to 1300mbps.
My wifi on 5GHz has gone up to 423/23 which is where I would like to be... However my ethernet connection is still floating at 200mbps... and my 2.4GHz wifi is less than 100mbps...Any other suggestions? Is this model router not capable of providing the faster speeds, even though WIFI is...? Is there another "lock" that is in place that I haven't found in the settings?
Thanks for any support.
