R6300v2 connections lost while DLNA streaming.

Hello.

I do a  simultaneous download from internet to my laptop(wifi-5GHZ) which works very fine (full speed 1.5 Mbps).

The router is connected via LAN port to WD myclound DLNA device.

If a stream a movie from my Samsung TV via DLNA(TV is wirelles connect to the router) , sometimes i have the message in my TV,  that the Connections is lost and i must restart the movie.

Is somewhere (Router,WD Mycloud, TV) a workaround  for this?

(I made all updates of all devices)

thanks

Hi @marsias,

1. How far is the TV from the router?

2. Does the issue happen when you stream using a wired device?

3. Have you tried changing the wireless channel?

Re: R6300v2 connections lost while DLNA streaming.

hi ..

1. about 2 meters

2. I dont know,  not tried yet .

3. No . What Should be the channel  ?

About bands : I think my Samsung TV works on 2GHz band(maximum 300Mbps)

I configured the download-laptop wifi card,  to communicate with the router  only through the 5 GHZ band.

Regards

Hi @marsias,

1. Please try streaming on another wired or wireless device for us to isolate if the issue happens to all devices.

2. You can try using any Wi-Fi analyzer app to check which channel is best to use in your network environment.

3. Please try changing the mode on the 2.4GHz band from 300Mbps to either 217Mbps or 54Mbps and check if the issue persists.
