R6400 WIFI requires almost daily reboots with 1.0.1.50, .52, 62
Due to the security issues in 1.0.1.46 and earlier, I tried to use the latest FW. However, on an almost daily basis one of the WIFI SSIDs would not pass traffic. The 5G would often disappear, and the 2G guest wifi which my kids use would often not pass traffic. For a while I'd get an error trying to go back to 1.0.1.46, but on 8/30 it finally worked. I haven't had a single problem since then. I'm pretty sure you broke WIFI in the releases after that.

You should revert back to a previous firmware and see if that fixes it. You can manually find the previous firmware in the netgear.com website under "support" where you type your router's model number and it will let you download the firmware manually. Once you do that update with your laptop hardwired to the router and apply the older firmware by logging into your router through your browser. I would use microsoft edge browser over the other browsers to apply the firmware.

I wasn't completely clear, but I did go back to 1.0.1.46 23 days ago, and I've had no problems since. However, I'd like a version that works and also has the recent security fixes. We'll see if others have the same problem.

Hi utmba95,
Good day!
Welcome to NETGEAR Community!
First of all, we do apologize for the inconvenience of not getting back to you immediately due to the backlog in the system. Upon checking from our system, we don't see any similar issues about the latest firmware. Please update the firmware of the router then reset the router afterward and observe the connection if it exhibits the same issue as before.
Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Oliver
