R6400 guest wifi disables regular wifi

I searched the forum but couldn't find a similar case. I have a R6400 wifi router and would like to also enable the guest wifi.
But when I do it, the regular wifi on the same band will disappear and my home devices will lose the connection. E.g. If I enable the 5G guest wifi, my regular 5G wifi shuts down and our smartphones get disconnected and can no longer see the wifi but only the 5G wifi.
If I enable the 2G guest wifi the same happens with the regular 2G wifi. Is this a bug or a feature? I'm on the latest firmware. V1.0.1.24_1.0.18

Hi @steakhouse,
1. Have you tried resetting the router?
2. Have you tested other firmware versions?
3. Have you tried changing the wireless channel for either/both bands?
4. What is the WiFi LED activity when the issue occurs?
Regards,
Dexter
