R6400v2

I am trying to hardwire my router to my dvr(security cameras).  When I plug the Ethernet cable into extra LAN outlets, it lights up red.  What can I do connect?

Re: R6400v2

Lights up red on what?

the router? Where on the router? what light?

On the dvr? where/what light? What do the instructions say about hardwiring in the system?

If you hook a computer to the router, does it work?

Current Setup: CM2000-> SXK30-> GS716v2-> Arris W31 x2-> Pi-hole->

Re: R6400v2

Or is this "red" more "amber" or "orange" and does show on the LAN/Ethernet port where the DVR or it's camera(s) are plugged? That would indicate ...

Ethernet ports 1–4
The LED color indicates the speed: white for Gigabit Ethernet connections and amber for 100 Mbps or 10 Mbps Ethernet connections.
• Solid. A powered-on device is connected to the Ethernet port.
• Blinking. The port is sending or receiving traffic.
• Off. No device is connected to this Ethernet port.
