Changed internet provider and after powering off my RBR50 and connecting to new cable modem it never recovered.
Symptoms - alternating between flashing and pulsing white light on router. Power LED green. No wifi signal being transmitted. Unable to connect directly to router via LAN.
Troubleshooting steps taken:
- Powered down and restarted
- Reset (tried various lengths holding down reset button) - resulting in power lights of either flashing red, solid green or amber
- Successfully uploaded firmware via TFTP client (per https://kb.netgear.com/000059633/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-client) - had to use the reset method of holding down reset untl power light flashed red several times, green once and then red before router would accept TFTP. Unfortunately, after FW put, router just went back to flashing / pulsing white
Router is 13 months old, so no warranty support. Based upon search the community forum there are no other steps I can find to take and it seems like it could be bricked.
Any other suggestions??
