ROKU WiFi Interference

For the second time my ROKU Express has gone off the rails. It generates a WiFi Direct signal with an ID of "DIRECT- Roku - XXXXXX". This ROKU uses an IR remote so no WiFi Direct signal is needed. The device has a hidden menu. Under the Remote section I found a setting to disable the RF Remote. Time will tell.

Menu access; Quickly enter "HOME-HOME-HOME-HOME-HOME-FFWD-PLAY-REWIND-PLAY-FFWD".

Re: ROKU WiFi Interference

Is there some Netgear hardware involved somewhere?

If so, what is it, and how do you think it might be involved in what you see?

Just another user.

My network DM200 -> R7800 -> GS316 -> PL1000 -> Orbi RBR40 -> Orbi RBS50Y -> RBS40V

Re: ROKU WiFi Interference

My WiFi is Netgear but that is irrelevant.

When this happens the wireless has major problems with on-channel interference. I simply shared related information with the community.
