Request For Advice on My Setup

I am new to this and would greatly appreciate help in my network. I have a WNDR4000, cable internet, and multiple computers in my network. I needed to add an old computer with a poor wireless adapter and a network printer into the network. The two devices were in close proximity with each other, but away from the WNDR4000. I ran an ethernet cable and connected to an old WNR1000 v2 in the same room as the two devices I am adding. I connected to the WNR1000 v2 and turned off wireless broadcasting, turned off DHCP, opened NAT, and turned off that S algorithm thing. I successfully connected the devices and confirmed that by being able to wirelessly access both routers setup pages. I addressed the WNR 1000 v2 outside of the DHCP range but within the subnet. My only question considering the above is. Why did the computer I hooked up change its MAC address? The printer did not. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.
