Router won't bridge internet from modem

I have a DGN2200v3 ADsL2+ Modem router
When I go to type in http://192.168.0.1 it tells me the dsl cable isn't connected. The problem is is that I have a cable internet connection with Cox. How do I setup to read the ethernet port and not the dsl port

And why not, it happens so infrequently so why does it matter? What's so wrong with Phoenix602 asking for a reply after two days of nothing?

Bumping a thread after just a couple of hours might be unreasonable, but after a day or more what's the harm?

the only thing I can think of that adsl modem is that you could try and use it as an access point due to the fact that it is a adsl modem/router combo and not meant for a cable connection.
