Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ only connects to 2.4ghz SSID on ORbi RBR50 + 3 RBS50s on backhaul

Hey everyone,

Just got a new Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ and no matter what I do, I cannot get it to connect to the 5ghz SSID/spectrum of my Orbi RBR50 Router + RBS50 satellite setup. It will only connect to 2.4ghz...

With the latest firmware updates, you can no longer split SSIDs, and the old, manual, workaround (Telnet), doesn't seem to stick. Both SSIDs will default to the same upon router reboot.

I'm happy to keep the same SSID names, but need to find a way to deprecate the 2.4ghz signal, or force the Tab S7+ to only connect to 5ghz. There doesn't seem to be a manual setting for this in Android, unless I root the device.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You can set the signal strength of the 2.4ghz broadcast down.

Advanced Setup-->Wireless Settings----->transmit power control

It might not help but it could.

Current Setup: CM2000-> RBK750-> GS716v2-> RAXE500-> Pi-hole->
