Set-up issue
Hi
I am a complete noob with all this, so please be patient.
I just received my new laptop - Dell XPS 17
I have a Netgear wndr3700 router and my wife's laptop is connected wirelessly.
I've been trying to connect my new laptop to my wireless router since yesterday, without success. I am running Win 7 ultimate 64bit.
When connected wired to my router it recognizes my SSID but will not connect. Windows troubleshooter, states something about restarting the router/access point and trying it again which I did several times.
The security type is WPA2-PSK
I am assuming it is a router setting, I thought initially it was my wifi card, but I manged to connect to an unsecured network.
I am not sure what other info you require but your help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Set-up issue
Try updating the driver for Wifi card in the Dell XPS 17.
If unable to connect wired as well, try updating the driver for the LAN card too.
