Unable to connect to 2.4 network
A couple months back I moved and rented a modem from Xfinity, when the bill was due, I decided to switch to this current router I was using a couple of months ago. I purchase this router a few years back, I forgot when I bought it and did not register at the time. When setting up this modem for the network I was told to use the password on the router, I found out it only works with the 5 ghz, for the 2.4 ghz it keeps saying I had an incorrect password. I have contact Xfinity and they have told me no problems were discovered on their side. Since I cannot register my modem, I have no idea how to fix this problem. As of right now writing this I am on the waiting list for customer support through calling. Any help to resolve this issue?

Re: Unable to connect to 2.4 network
I wouldn't wait on customer service as they'll charge you more than its worth.
You have 2 options.
1. if you can log into the 5ghz, you can access the router and view/change the ssid.
https://kb.netgear.com/23439/How-do-I-change-my-NETGEAR-router-s-WiFi-password-or-network-name-SSID
Option 2. You can factory reset it and start back at square 1.
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.
that gets you back to the default login to the gui
login: admin
password: password
Then you can setup whatever you want again.
