User manual for WGR614 v10

Is there any user manual for WGR614 v10? I want to have a look at the features of this router.

I have a feeling that WNR1000 v3 and WGR614 v10 are the same hardware. The only difference is the color and that WNR1000 is advertised as 150 Mbit/s, and WGR614 as 54 Mbit/s.

Page 21 in the setup manual say that WGR614 can be set in 802.11N mode. A diff of both routers latest firmware reveals that they are almost the same, they are equal in size and also the same version number.

Features I'm looking for:

1. Wireless Repeater (WDS).
2. Guest Network.

This latter function is of less importance, I can buy another router for this purpose.

Re: User manual for WGR614 v10

There are no user manuals on Netgears homepage, actually I had to purchase a router to find out the features.

1. WGR614 v10 has all the features I need, Guest Networks and Wireless Repeater (see picture).

2. According to FCC it's the same hardware as WNR1000 v3 (same board).

3. To confirm that, I changed the nvram board_id value to U12H139T00_NETGEAR by typing burnboardid U12H139T00_NETGEAR from the shell prompt. After that I flashed it with the WNR1000 firmware, rebooted and successfully connected a wireless client at 150 Mbit/s.

just because FCC number is doesn't mean WGR will support N.

in the past, netgear did NOT change FCC number. it will NOT support N

this is how repeat works

I flashed my WGR614 v10 with the firmware for WNR1000 v3, and now it support N. Only 150 Mbps, but still better than 54 Mbps.

Re: User manual for WGR614 v10

I purchased both models and opened them, it turned out to the same hardware. I wanted a white version of WNR1000, that's why I purchased WGR614 v10 and flashed it with WNR1000 v3 firmware.
