Username Password prompt for 192.168.1.1:80:

So I have only recently seen that I get a persistant prompt for my username and password to log into my Router.  I can still use the Router menu but I get this prompt.  I have cleared my cookies and rebooted my Mac.  I have just upgraded to the new firmware for my D3600 Router but the issue remains.  Also, I dont think that 192.168.1.1:80: is correct.  Surely it should be 192.168.1.1?  Anyone offer a solution for this please?

Re: Username Password prompt for 192.168.1.1:80:

There's nothing wrong with 192.168.1.1:80.  In a browser, it means the same thing as 192.168.1.1.

As to the persistent prompt, you may want to check your computer for malware.  Make sure the browser doesn't have any unknown extensions.  Look for suspicious programs.  See if the prompts are correlated with a certain activity, such as visiting a particular website.

try to clean your Cache of all your browsers and do check 192.168.1.1 Admin login once again. Might Work
