WNB8334B will not accept new name and password after reset.

We had several power surges over the last few weeks due to hurricane activity here in Hawaii.

Our router has been acting odd eversince.  Have reset via unplugging, and ended up dooing a hard reset back to factory settings.

Have followed all the instructions on how to reset the network with a new password but nothing is working.

Have followed all the promts with direct connect to computer and it will seem that all is set up and correct but keeps showing up as a unsecured line labeld "Netgear" in our option of wifi sites from which to log in.

Any feed back would be helpful a sI am not super stoked on having a unsecured line.

you may want to try and see if you can reinstall the fw that is running on the router from the Netgear site. (downlaod to your desktop and do the load from there). It could be the router firmware is corrupted from getting bounced around. A surge portected power bar is also a good idea to have, if you don't..

If youcan reload the firmware, when you are done, do another factory reset..

@Waimeagirl411 Do you get any error messages? Can you post a screen grab on what you're getting?

When doing the firmware upgrade, you need to access the admin page. See the steps here.

Looking forward to your response.
