WNDR300 Seriously bricked?

Hi folks!

I wanted to update my wndr3700 router yesterday thru the 192.168.1.1 site (wireless (big fault i figured))
It failed, and the power is now blinking slowly green.
I then googled a lot, and so far i have tried:
Netgear recovery utility, with 30-30-30 reset, reset power off, hold and release.
Then i have tried the TFTp2.exe app, to transfer the latest non beta software - it fails every time.
I tried using the tftp in terminal (mac) but i keep getting an error when using the:
Verbose
bin
Put (wndr3700 software.img)..

I'm not sure what to try next, please help Smiley Sad

thanks!

Yeah you certainly didn't follow the instructions but doing it wired only.

Try these methods to attempt recovery.

I downloaded the firmware and it says to read the Release Notes first. I found this for you in the release notes.
...

To Install

Note: Do not upgrade the firmware using a wireless connection. Please perform firmware upgrade with “wired” or Ethernet connection only.

Re: WNDR300 Seriously bricked?

Hold down the reset button until the led starts blinking yellow, KEEP HOLDING IT DOWN for a while until the blink becomes constant (dont just let go on the first flash).. There is a TFTP window you can hit when it boots up and it's harder to do than holding down the button for a long time that will put it in a perminate TFTP listen mode.

That is, if we are talking about the 3700.

I REPEAT, Wait until the LED is flashing orange constantly...
