WNDR3400 not connecting in Regus office

Hi,

I just got the WNDR3400 N600 to use in a Regus office. The internet connection from Regus is provided via Ethernet floor points. These work fine with each laptop in the office but when I connect the Router, I get no internet connectivity. I've tried both getting an IP automatically via DHCP and also by putting in the IP details that Regus provided.

I don't think it is a DHCP lease issue as I can switch the cable between each laptop without much delay in returning to internet access.

Is there a simple answer to this?

Regus office

Regus is an office business (for providing offices to companies across the world): http://www.regus.co.uk/ I have a small company renting an office from them.

The floor point is connecting to their private network, so I am connected to one of their switches.

I am investigating in parallel with Regus but they have been most unhelpful so far - they don't want clients providing their own kit as they charge a lot of money "per desk" for internet connections. This doesn't help me as we are doing development work on mobile devices which need a wifi connection provided by us for testing.

I left the router connected overnight in the vain hope that it would get a connection but nothing...

private network as to class c subnet or something?

you need some details on network scheme.

How regus setup with IP etc. also what ip the pc is getting without router . how pc are connected using their network if there is some portal to connect etc.
