WNDR3700 Randomly drops connection

Hello.

My router keeps dropping me from my internet connection. Usually I would browse the web, or use software that requires an internet connection, it would be fine for around 15-20 minutes, but after a while my network would just be a "Local Only" connection, and I would be unable to use the internet. This has been going on for months and I can't seem to find out what's causeing this. If someone could be kind enoughj as to try and help me find out what's wrong, that would be great, thanks!

Hardware Version WNDR3700
Firmware Version V1.0.7.98NA
GUI Language Version V1.0.0.64

I would recommend upgrading to the latest f/w. Follow the instructions carefully. Don't skip any steps. If there is still a problem after the upgrade the use the Erase function to reset the browser back to factory settings and rekey your setup.

Re: WNDR3700 Randomly drops connection

Hmm...Well, this is strange. I tried upgrading to a new firmware but there was "No New Firmware Version Availabe". Is V1.0.7.98NA the latest firmware version, then?

Re: WNDR3700 Randomly drops connection

Hi everybody, and thanks for your help, but i've been upgrading and downgrading to all kinds of different firmwares, but that doesn't seem to be fixing the problem. Are there any other feasible solutions that you guys suggest trying out?

You did not answer whether or not your problems are occurring on a wired or wireless connection. If wired, then
1) update your nic card driver
2) replace the cable that runs from the router to the modem
3) substitute the modem
4) monitor your ISP's quality

In addition, if Wireless
1) Update wireless adapter
2) substitute your adapter
3) change the wireless channel on your router
4) check signal strength between the adapter and the router
