WNDR3700v3 having problems connecting both wireless and wired
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone here has an idea on how to fix the problem I'm having. I just got the N600 modem today, and have updated to latest firmware V1.0.0.22_1.0.17 (updated during installation). I can connect my laptops/iPods wirelessly without issue, but when I go to also plug the ethernet cord that connects to my TV (I have a Vizio that will run Netflix through it directly without a Roku box or similar), suddenly my connection from the router to the DSL modem will disconnect or something. I have also experienced this if I tried to hardwire a laptop to the ethernet ports, so I know it's not just my TV.
I still show I have a wifi connection to the router on various laptops, but that lack of connection from the router to the DSL obviously prevents me from accessing the internet.
Is there some dual mode wired/wifi setting I've missed?
Thanks in advance,
Pam

There is nothing to tie those things together in that way.
I know it can be tiresome to try and find out what is causing a fault, but perhaps it only appears to be happening like this?.. Turn off wifi and see if the wired devices will work on their own with the router.

make sure that TV is hooked up behind the 3700 and NOT using any DSL authentication of any on TV side
