WNR1000v3 only getting 2mbpm, but have full signal bars. Best settings for optimal speed ?

I keep reading all these different ways to increase your Wi-Fi speed and all this I'm so confused on so many different ways to do it anybody know of an easy way to increase my internet speed does it even have to do with my router?? What are the best settings for optimal speed?ter Information

Welcome to the community, @Awesomeapryl

 

To optimize the speed, try considering to relocate the router. In this way, you will have a better signal from the router.

Also, avoid wireless devices that may interfere the signal such as baby monitors, cordless phones, microwave ovens, etc.

You may want to try changing the channel. Try channels 1,6 and 11 which are known as the non-overlapping channels.
