WNR2000 Firmware V1.1.3.14GR

Hello Experts,

My wireless router WNR2000 worked well for several years, but now I see since some months a dramatic drop in performance. Speedtest shows me an upload and download rate of 1MB/s on my iphone and I pad while the router is set up for up to 145MB/s. The internet connection is on broadband connected with 20MB/s.

SPI-Firewall deactivated
WPA2-PSK

Any advice what I should do?

Thanks
Chris

The only things I can think of are:

- More wifi networks springing up in your neighborhood.
- More wifi networks sharing your channel.
- The wifi networks on your channel are quite busy.
- The router's wifi is failing.

So saying, have you:

- Tested with a wired connection and compared the speed? Is it the same low speed?
- Have you noticed more and more wifi networks around you lately?
- Have you tried using a tool like inSSIDer to see what the wifi situation is around you?
