Dear Sir or Madam:
How can I update the firmware for my WNR2000v4 wireless router by a Mac?
Do I need to install the Netgear Genie app for Mac to update the firmware and adjust the settings for this wireless router?
How can I check which firmware version is on my router?
I use to use a Windows PC by login to my router login webpage and update from there.
Please reply very soon.
Thank you for your time and support.

Download the firmware kit and follow the instructions in the Release
Notes?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. Under Firmware and Software Downloads, find the kit(s).
Download the kit you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions.

No. While you're in the neighborhood, look for Documentation. Get
the User Manual. Read. Look for "NETGEAR genie Setup":
NETGEAR genie runs on any device with a web browser. [...]
Your (unspecified) Mac has a web browser, right?
You could also look for "Upgrade Router Firmware".
> How can I check which firmware version is on my router?
It should be displayed on almost any page you'll see when you point
your web browser at the WNDR4300.

Other than possibly using a different web browser, it should be
pretty close to the same.
