WNR3500Lv2 speed

I am using a WNR3500Lv2 running the stock firmware and am quite happy with it. I will soon be upgrading my cable internet to a 200 Mbps download speed. Will my WNR3500Lv2 be able to handle the full 200 Mbps download speed? Thanks!

Re: WNR3500Lv2 speed

theoretically yes it will. its a gigabit router. Only issue is that its an older N300 device. So single band wifi. 2.4ghz has much lower throughput than 5ghz and you won't be able to utilize the speed increase if you're only running 2.4ghz. I've occassionally seen 2.4ghz hit 80mbps at my place but on average I only hit 20-30mbps.  My 5ghz can hit 500-600mbps.

I'd probably look for a gigabit wireless ac router to utilize the speed increase. unless your devices are main hardwired in. If that's the case, your router will be fine.
