I bridged Zoom 5350 and plugged in Netgear already programmed and with the right mac. connected, but the wan light on the router has turned red and does not change to any green!
What to do ?
Thank you.

First try starting things in the right order.

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

  • Turn off and unplug modem.
  • Turn off router and computers.
  • Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
  • Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it connect.
  • Turn on computers and rest of network.

I assume that you confirmed that the modem can connect to the Internet before you brought the router into the picture.

Routers cannot do magic. They can't mend a broken Internet connection.

Re: Wan light is red.

Clarifying, if I turn the zoom on the pc has no internet connection and through the router yes, but the wan light remained red.

Re: Wan light is red.

Sadly, that does not clarify much for me.

Can you connect the PC to the Internet without using the router?

If I interpret this bit correctly, the answer is no:

No amount of messing around with the R6080 will get you anywhere without that basic first step.

Re: Wan light is red.

Right, the problem is that connected by the router the WAN light turns red despite the internet working smoothly.
Why does it happen ? Light should be green!
