I managed to download from Netgear site two different firmware versions for the same product which is the R6220 AC1200 Smart Wifi Router with external antennas. One of them is "R6220.aspx" and the other is "R6220_FW_V1.1.0.31_1.0.1.zip".
My question is which one of the above should I use to update the firmware on my product which is currently v1.0.0.17.

Re: Why 2 different firmwares for R6220 AC1200-Smart WiFi Router?
I'm hoping that updating from 1.0.0.17 to 1.0.0.31 will fix some issues I'm having with Netgear genie misreporting devices that are attached. It keeps saying my Blu-ray player is attached even when the unit is unplugged from the power outlet. Guess I'll have to update and cross my fingers, lol.

It might fix some issues, but it will likely add different ones.
