I know this is an old topic and there are other posts about it, but I can not find any type of solution in any of the posts I have read and also with an internet search.

I am currently deployed to Kuwait and found a great deal (or not) on a Zain AC790S mobile hotspot and a Zain DC112A router in order to keep in touch with loved ones and friends back home.
I have factory reset both devices, attempted to update firmware (both devices fail at that) and tried multiple settings configuration. I can not get the router to recognize the hotspot. The hotspot will charge when connected to the cradle, but it doesn’t even recognize the hotspot. Does anyone has any insight on what may be wrong? Is there a certain setting I may be missing? I have read that there were some firmware issues in the past, and I know the devices have been discontinued, but it is beyond me that Netgear has not pushed out a fix for this.
