connection cannot be detected by laptop and other devices for JWNR2000v2 N300 router

whenever i turn on my wifi on tablet or laptop,i am not able to detect my own network.i can see others network but it doesnt show my network.i pressed the button 5 times on the back of router but in vain and was still not able to enable wirless network.when i press it the led just blinks and does not remain constant and shuts off..what should i do? please help.

Welcome to the community!

 

Sounds like you're trying to connect your laptop through WPS feature.

You may want to see the article below on how to connect your laptop using WPS.

 

What is Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)/Push 'n' Connect?

 

In any case you're still unable to connect to the router, I suggest that you try to factory reset the router and configure it.

Once you have configured the router, you should be able to see the network of your own router and connect to it.
