netgear DGN1000 modem router internet keeps dropping

Hello.
Ever since I bought this router I've had problems.
The biggest problem which have to get fixed is the router dropping the internet connection.
Most of the time the internet gets dropped after about 10 min of usage, sometimes it can be up to 30 min and down to 5 min. It varies.
I use a wired connection and this problem occurs on all the computer in the network, (wireless users too of course).
It does not matter how many people are on at the same time.
I've never had this problem before and it started after I bought this router.

what do I do?

Check your idle time out value in the router interface.- bsasic setting
Use 0 (zero).

Unfortunetly I cannot do this because my internet does not require a login. If I try I lose my internet

If you never had this problem before, and if it only started when you got this router, what are you waiting for???

Honestly, if it was me I would have RMA'd the router a long time ago instead of going through all that suffering. Hopefully you can do this. 🙂

Do you see the DSL light goes out of sync? such as flashing? that indicates DSL sync is losted.

There are few factor to this, it can bad internal DSL modem , sometime the chipset compatibility which may end up causing the issues , some chipset are also very sensitive over prior dsl modem and could effecting the issues.

been you have various duration and multiple users, I would limit down to single user only to see if the issues are still the same.
