no wireless connection wnr2000v5

I've updated the firmware and i've been having wireless connection problems since the day i got my router.

its not being used by a lot of devices and the netgear people have been less than helpful. how can i fix this

Please provide more details of the issue otherwise it’s not really possible to offer practical advice.

i did the factory reset, then uploaded the newest firmware, and did the factory reset again. I also tried going into the wireless settings and changing the mode to a slower speed. what else can i try

But what are the symptoms of the problem?

 

  • Do you see your wireless network in a scan?
  • Does the computer give you an error message?
  • Are all devices affected in the same way?
  • Does the device try to connect to your network and fail?
  • What kind of client devices are you using e.g. computer, smartphone, tablet, what are the model numbers?
  • Have you tried connecting immediately after the factory reset with router default settings?
