r6020 wifi issues

Hello,

My router is acting weird. The internet icon is orange, all devices are unable to connect with the exception of my computer (connected by ethernet) and for some reason my roku smart tv (connected to the 5g frequency). both frequencie do not work. I have tried reseting both the modem and the router to no avail. Its very confusing because all devices say no internet, and yet the smart tv still works. Any assistance would be appreciated

    Confusing indeed.

What is the modem in front of the R6020?

What firmware version do you have on the device?

A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

It may help to reboot the whole network in the right order.

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

    • Turn off and unplug the modem.
    • Turn off the modem router and computers.
    • Plug in the modem and turn it on. Wait 2 minutes.
    • Turn on the modem router and wait 2 minutes.
    • Turn on the computers.

Thank you very much for your response. I worked on it all day, Had issues with being able to log into the router itself, ended up downloading the newest firmware update and manually installing it. After that rebooting everything fixed it. I appreciate your assistance

That's good news. Glad it worked out.

If you see any more issues it might be worth a factory rest on the router.
