two (I hope) simple questions r6250-genie and password reset
I have another router that I'm running, and my netgear router is plugged into that router, so I have a seperate router channel altogether. Unfortunately, my son keeps connecting to the netgear, so I need to change the password. I understand that genie no longer works, but I only really need to do one thing-reset the password to kick everyone else off the router.
will genie do this, and what is the simplest way to change the password?

Re: two (I hope) simple questions r6250-genie and password reset
You can log in through the browser and change the ssid/password.
https://kb.netgear.com/23439/How-do-I-change-my-NETGEAR-router-s-WiFi-password-or-network-name-SSID
Then just don't give your son the password.
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with.
